Which rules are the shop's, and which are your stylist's

Every stylist here runs their own business. That is why two chairs can have different prices, hours and deposits under one roof.

The building and what we all share.

    • Opening hours and the front door

    • Arriving, parking and check-in

    • Children and companions in the room

    • Scents, noise and phone calls

The policies, one by one

Each answer starts with whose rule it is.

Booking and deposits

Your stylist's rule, with one shop rule: everyone books on the same page. Each stylist's page shows their services, hours and openings, and which services take a deposit to hold the time. The deposit goes toward your service. Prefer a person? Call or text the shop and we will find you a chair.

Canceling and running late

Your stylist's rule. Each stylist asks for notice and says how much when you book, usually a day for cuts and more for long color days. If you are running late, call the shop and we will tell your stylist. A late arrival may mean a shorter service or a new time, and that is up to them.

If you miss an appointment

Your stylist's rule. If you miss an appointment without telling them, the stylist decides whether the deposit stays with them and whether to ask for one before your next booking.

Children and companions

The shop's rule. Children are welcome to sit with an adult, and one companion may wait with each client, because eight people share one room. Whether a stylist takes a child's cut is the stylist's choice, so ask when you book.

Patch tests and allergies

Your stylist's rule. Color, bleach and some smoothing products may need a patch test before the first visit, following the maker's directions. Tell your stylist when you book if you have ever reacted to a hair product, and they will say what is needed.

Redos and refunds

Your stylist's rule, and the shop will help. Tell your stylist within a week and they will look at it with you. If you can't reach them, call the shop and we will pass your message on.

Tipping

Your stylist's rule. Tipping is welcome and never expected, and you tip your stylist directly. The shop adds no service charge.

Before your visit

The shop's rule. Arrive a few minutes before your time and check in at the front, where your stylist will meet you. We share one room, so please keep strong scents and long phone calls outside. Tell us at booking if you need a quieter seat, step-free access or extra time.

Still not sure whose rule it is?

Call or text the shop and we will tell you, or pass your question to the stylist.
